Kenichi's Creative Catering Services

Attention Brides to Be:

Bubbly beverages and beautiful bouquets will get your wedding festivities off to a nice start. But consider cranking the party up a nuptial notch, Kenichi style, with the new mobile sushi service offered by Dallas' supremely stylish sushi establishment.

No longer must you confine the savoring of sashimi to the posh perfection of Kenichi's Victory Park digs. As part of a carefully refined catering package, the restaurant's expert sushi chefs will set up shop and graciously gratify the desires of all your ravenous reception guests.

General Manager of Kenichi Dallas, Josh Babb, recently revealed all the delicious details of this unique service to DallasCrowd's eager editors. "One thing that we would really like to break into is off-site catering, as we have a mobile sushi case that travels really well." says Babb. "We do pass appetizers, but, quite honestly, we feel like we're much better than that. Here in Dallas, we've been focusing just on the restaurant and on getting it open in the last year, and now we're excited to venture out."

In Kenichi's Austin and Aspen locations, the mobile sushi concept has rocked, and now, in Dallas, they're ready to roll … literally. You pick the site; Kenichi will come. Picture the blissful bride and groom, and their highly impressed guests savoring creative Pan Asian cuisine created by master sushi chef Kiyomi Sano and executive chef Bodhi Durant.

"We like the idea of having a live sushi chef prepare food on site while interacting and engaging with guests." says Babb. "It allows guests to enjoy an item prepared for them especially, versus an appetizer passed on a tray." From 'I Do' to Ichiban … well-wishers cravin' Asian will relish the spectacle of sumptuous sushi selection prepared right before their eyes. It's top-notch service in which Babb is rightfully confident. "It really gives people a great feeling," he says, "And the quality is always better when you see a chef making it for you right there."

Debating dim sum or tempura? Leave it to your party planner to coordinate all the details with Kenichi's master chefs. Many of the best in the bridal biz are becoming sushi savvy. At a recent event hosted by Babb and the Kenichi staff, local Dallas wedding planners experienced the live-action sushi and dim sum stations and obtained all the imperative info.

"We hope that the partnerships we've made with wedding planners will allow them to think of us in terms of catering." says Babb.
"We feel like we're pretty unique in what we do."

For real reception happiness, toast to tempura!
