Posh PIN:
The Fashion Event of the Season
Vicariously viewing the so-called runway action on Bravo's tired series? Sad.
Spectating, subjectively, on stylish somethings from the latest and greatest new designers of the local scene? Spectacular.
Get your glamorous self to The Door this Thursday evening to carouse with couturiers-in-the-making at The Pin Show, a fabulous red carpet event produced by independent designers Rachel Nichelson and Julie McCullough Kim. Nichelson and Kim founded The Pin Show in 2007 as a platform of pret-a-porter for all emerging entrepreneuers inclined towards the sewing of sartorial seeds … pun intended.
You'll be most fashionably fortunate to glimpse more than 200 looks for Fall/Winter 2008 from 26 independent Texas designers. Prepare for a live and luxurious showcasing of stylish skill, as many have had their designs nestled 'neath the glossy covers of Lucky, Modern Luxury, and D Magazine. Engage in bespoke banter with retailers, buyers, and boutique owners about the most noteworthy new trends and experience elation while rubbing elbows with the hottest stylists, makeup artists, photographers, and models of the industry.
Featuring Dallas darling David Ninh, style writer for F!D Luxe as Master of Ceremonies with Austin's own DJ Class Prez mixing sexy melodies for the runway, this year's show promises to be a tantalizing trend showcase.
