Ready (set) Dine at R+D

Like it's neighboring sibling Houston's, there's much to dig about R+D. In this, the second installation of the eatery, (the first is located in hip and breezy Newport Beach), one is enthused to choose between sushi, sandwiches, salads, and then some.

The café boasts appetizers such as hearty guacamole and a rich queso dip with spicy jalapeño, plus the daring offering of deviled eggs. Herbivores will nosh happily on R+D's generous selection of greens, such as the chopped Asian chicken salad, proclaimed as one of their most popular offerings. Other fave fare includes the carnitas sandwich, piled high with juicy pork tenderloin, picked cabbage slaw, and avocado slices and served with skinny matchstick fries. The Reubenesque is also an R+D must; a winner of a 'wich with corned beef and baby Swiss on toasted corn rye…oh my!

Pan fried fish with sautéed spinach, as well as wild mushroom meatloaf with corn-studded mashed potatoes are dishes that aptly amp the southern comfort quotient of this multitudinous menu. An extensive wine list rounds out dining that is real+delightful.
